Punctuality and regular attendance at school are important factors that affect your child’s achievement. Parents have the responsibility to ensure that their children attend regularly and arrive on time.
When your child is going to be late or absent from school, please contact the school at 780-475-9619 (24 hour line) and leave a message stating your child's name, teacher, date, and the reason for the absence or late arrival. It is very important for parents/guardians to let the school know when their child will be absent from school.
If the school is not contacted notifying us of your child’s absence or late arrival, you will be contacted at home or work so that we may determine your child's whereabouts. Our automated attendance system will call current home, cellphone and work numbers to verify the reason for a child’s absence.
Late Arrival: Students who come late to school must report to the school office to ensure their attendance is changed from absent to late.
Student Sign-Out Procedures: From time to time a student may need to leave the school property in the middle of the school day for a medical appointment or may be going home ill. All students leaving the school property during school hours must be signed out at the office by the parent/guardian who is picking him/her up.
